David spent more than 10 years as an auditor at EY and Delta Airlines gaining a deep understanding of how inventory processes operate. Rob has spent more than 15 years managing IT processes in the private and public sector and consulting. Through these experiences, Countalytics was founded. Countalytics is an easy-to-use mobile platform that uses visual recognition software to help airlines and other companies manage their inventory more efficiently.
With quick turnarounds, distributed operations, complex demand patterns, and heavy outsourcing of in-flight catering with companies like Gate Gourmet and LSG Sky Chefs, airlines have little visibility into flight-specific consumption, leading to gross overspending on inventory and labor by hundreds of millions of dollars annually.
Once the platform was developed, we realized that Countalytics can be beneficial in a host of other industries. Fast food restaurants and warehouse facilities spend hundreds of hours annually manually counting inventory. David has seven years of experience in the audit and consulting field, having stints at Ernst & Young and Delta Air Lines’ Corporate Audit department. He has utilized the knowledge gained from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University (MBA) to provide audit assurance over financial, operational, and compliance functions for Delta’s domestic and international operations.
